Here are the five locations where the new Zellers stores will be located in Quebec

For many, the Zellers brand is the embodiment of 80’s-90’s kitsch and synonymous with nostalgia for many Quebecers.

The famous store will return to Quebec in 2023 in the form of small boutiques of 740 sq. ft. to 930 sq. ft. at five locations in the province.

This rebirth, orchestrated by The Bay, comes nearly 10 years after the closing of the last Zellers store in Quebec, that of Place Fleur de Lys, on March 13, 2013.

A good majority of Zellers stores were then transformed into Target, a brand that failed to break into the Quebec market. Stores under this banner closed in January 2015.

The new Zellers stores will be located in Hudson’s Bay stores, and will not look like the big-box retail it used to be.

These stores will complement the Zellers.ca online store, which went online this Wednesday.

“Customers will find a thoughtful selection of home décor, toys, baby items, apparel and pet accessories, all offered in Zellers’ signature red and white decor.” we read in the press release of the company.
