In recent hours, the departments of Hérault and Gard have been affected by new storms. No injuries are reported.

What was a stream has invaded the entire town of Saint-Gély-Du-Fesc (Hérault), located north of Montpellier. Vehicles are trapped in the water, abandoned where currents have carried them. Some ended up in the ditch. “We have two immobilized vehicles, the first driver was able to get out and take refuge and the second driver was rescued by a municipal police officer”indicates Major Patrice Wely, gendarmerie brigade of Saint-Gély-Du-Fesc.

An impressive and usual situation for locals. “We know that there are risks and we protect ourselves”, says Thibaut Fraysse, breeder. The inhabitants of the departments of Hérault and Gard had received instructions and no injuries are to be deplored. Pumping operations began at the end of the afternoon. In Montpellier (Hérault), several traffic axes were cut off due to the rains and students were stranded in their high school due to a flooded courtyard.
