Very little active on the Web, it is with a heavy heart that Jean-Jacques Debout expressed himself via his Facebook page this Tuesday, May 23, 2023. And for good reason, the husband of Chantal Goya took the floor to pay a beautiful tribute to the famous musical accompanist Jacques Ferchit who sadly passed away at the age of 71.
In the caption of a photo arm in arm with his late friend, Jean-Jacques Debout wrote the following poignant text: “My dear Jacques Ferchit. I knew you were weakened by this terrible evil against which you fought relentlessly. We had been working together for 30 years with the same passion, music, of which you were the immense virtuoso both for the orchestrations and as an accordionist. Words are very poor to express all the sadness that Chantal and I feel when we learn of your departure to join the musical angels with whom you will continue to play. We are thinking of your family and know that we miss you already. By embracing you with all our heart.
