After more than two and a half months of investigation into the disappearance of Karine Esquivillon, her husband confessed under the terms of his police custody, on the night of June 15 to 16. He evokes having killed his wife accidentally.
Michel Pialle confessed to having killed his wife under the terms of his police custody on the night of June 15 or 16. It was he who led the gendarmes to the body of Karine Esquivillon. Missing for two months, the mother of the family was found in a wood in Vendée, 16km from their home. It is therefore the end of hope for those close to him, in particular his sister who has always believed in the guilt of her brother-in-law.
The murder weapon thrown into a lake
During the investigation, Michel Pialle multiplied the inconsistencies in his story. The expertise on his phone and that of the victim found in a ditch in particular directed the investigators towards the criminal track. In police custody, he finally broke down and claimed to have killed him accidentally with a rifle equipped with a silencer. His wife would have died quickly. He would have taken fright, deposited his body and thrown the weapon into a lake.
