Born in Bordeaux in June 1971, Benjamin Millepied is one of the most famous classical dancers in the world. After several years of internship at the School of American Ballet in New York, he obtained his role as a dancer in the prestigious New York City Ballet in 1995. Very quickly, he rose through the ranks, won several prizes, began teaching… until to be appointed Director of Dance for the Paris Opera Ballet in January 2013.
Chosen to sign the choreography of the film “Black Swan” by director Darren Aronofsky, he met actress Natalie Portman in 2009. It was love at first sight and the two lovebirds became engaged in December 2010. The dancer and the actress then become the parents of a little boy named Aleph in June 2011 and get married on August 4, 2012 in California. For love, Natalie Portman follows her husband, newly appointed director of the Paris Opera ballet, to France. They settled in Paris in 2014 before returning to live in Los Angeles after the resignation of Benjamin Millepied from the Paris Opera.
