Celine Dion’s state of health has been worrying the whole world for several months. Forced to cancel her concert tours several times, the famous Canadian singer explained in December 2022 that she suffered from stiff man syndromea “rare neurological disorder” which notably causes violent muscle spasms. “I’ve had health problems for a long time, and it’s been very difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything I’m going through” she declared.
And to continue: “We don’t yet know everything about this rare disease, but we now know that it is the cause of the muscle spasms from which I suffer. I sometimes have great difficulty walking and I cannot always use my vocal cords to sing as I wish.”
Faced with the situation and to pay him a beautiful tribute, several artists decided to perform from the port of Quebec. Among them Patrick Fiori, Amir, Christophe Willem, Chimène Badi, Roch Voisine, Isabelle Boulay, Corneille, Axelle Red, Claudio Capéo, Élodie Frégé, Anne Sila, Véronic Dicaire, Anggun, Bruno Pelletier, Mario Pelchat, Vincent Niclo and Ycare. They all covered the emblematic songs of Céline Dion and the new concert called “For you Celine” was broadcast this Friday, September 15, 2023 on M6.
Claudio Capéo mocked after his performance in “Pour toi Céline”
During this very special evening, Claudio Capéo then launched into a cover of the song For you to love me again… and his performance unfortunately did not convince viewers. On X (formerly Twitter), they did not fail to mock the singer. “Massacre by Claudio on this magnificent song by Céline”, “So that you love me again” sung by Claudio Capeo, but ptdr you want to finish off Céline? !”, “But don’t tell me that they made Claudio Capéo sing “So that you love me again”!!
