While the number of burglaries continues to increase in France, this time it was a famous politician who was hit while she was in her home. As our colleagues from Closer explain, Cécile Duflot, former leader of the political party “Les Verts” was indeed robbed on Saturday October 15, around five in the morning. A thief would have easily entered the house of the politician, located in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, in Val-de-Marne.
The 47-year-old mother was sleeping peacefully alongside her husband Xavier Cantat, brother of former Noir Désir member Bertrand Cantat, when the burglar entered the room of their 14-year-old daughter, Térépenthine. Hearing footsteps in her room, the teenager woke up and found herself facing the thug. Panicked but lucid, the teenager then screamed, which woke up her parents… and scared away the man who had nevertheless managed to steal a few objects before.
Our colleagues from Closer thus specify that the burglar had time to steal several mobile phones and the work computer of Cécile Duflot who is now general manager of the NGO Oxfam France. We note that the family of Cécile Duflot had already been robbed last August in their house Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and the thief had quickly been arrested.
