Help, Kate Middleton and Prince William have a ghost in their home!

Since 2011, the date of their royal wedding, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been the proud owners of a ten-bedroom mansion in Norfolk: Anmer Hall. And this luxury residence offered to them by Queen Elizabeth II in the countryside is home to an unwanted visitor: a ghost!

“Hanged and quartered for high treason”

This is what paranormal historian Richard Felix, who was a guest on the podcast, reports.“A Right Royal” from the magazine HELLO !, this week. During a special episode prepared for Halloween, he explained: “When the Prince and Princess of Wales moved into Anmer Hall, there was the ghost of a Catholic priest. He lived there and was hanged and quartered for high treason. Although he was executed in York, for some reason he returned. They heard his voice and saw the ghost of what they say was a priest, wandering around Anmer Hall.”.

The historian assures that Prince William and Kate Middleton had been informed of the existence of the ghost before moving in. And while the 18th-century house, located on the Sandringham Estate, has undergone £1.5 million worth of renovations, including the addition of a conservatory, a circuitous driveway to keep the shelter for the curious and interiors completely redone with the help of designer Ben Pentreath, we are not told if the property was entitled to a little exorcism!

As a reminder, the couple lived at Anmer Hall between 2015 and 2017 with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, when they were little, before moving to London. Today they live again far from the capital, in Windsor, and return to their country house on weekends or during school holidays to enjoy it with their 3 children, and in particular the youngest, Louis.

“As much time as possible”

In an episode of the Apple Podcast “Time to Walk“, William once said of Anmer Hall:“We spend as much time as possible here, it’s very peaceful”. In the area, the members of the royal family feel very comfortable and like to be able to blend in with the local population.
