Hello police at Vrak!

When we think of Vrak, we think of Cottageat Jeremiahat F-Codeat G-code or at (fire) KARV gala. Forget that “young” stuff, yo. Bell Media’s specialty channel is now aimed at adults who are fueled by series populated by police officers, firefighters and first responders.

This is the Holy Trinity of 3Ps in television, which differs from the delicious trio of 3Ps in gastronomy, namely pasta, bread and potatoes. Yes, the bosses of Vrak have considered changing the name of their station to better reflect its mature turn, completed last spring. But the Vrak brand, which has existed since 2001, still resonates very strongly with subscribers. It will therefore remain intact, unchanged, Vrak life, Vrak for life.

The cop-doctor-sapper niche is not ringing off the hook – turn on the sirens here – as evidenced by the thunderous programming of competing stations such as Addik (Coroner, Chicago Fire, SWAT), Series Plus (Blue Bloods, FBI, NCIS) or Max (Dr House, bones). Nevertheless. With its cops and its medics, Vrak has more than doubled its audience, indicates the vice-president, programming and information, at Bell Media, Suzane Landry. Fun fact: the average age of Vrak customers is now 46. We are far from Radio-Enfer and Canal Famille.

Beginning next week, Vrak will feature award-winning, beefy series that have been delighting Crave service subscribers for the past few months.

I think about Yellowjackets (September 13), Easttown with Kate Winslet (August 24) or Landscapers with Olivia Colman (November 22). The third season of Transplanted will take off on Wednesday, October 12 at 9 p.m.

Fans of bickering and “twists”, don’t tear out your bleached hair. Vrak remains the drop-off point for extras and unreleasedDouble occupation (return: September 12) or Big brother celebrities 3 (in January).

Even if the sun still shines with all its rays in our swimming pools, the specialized channels have slowly started their comeback (argh!) before the big boom of the traditional antennas, scheduled for the week of September 12.

The documentary series pray for us (August 26) focuses on sexual assaults committed by Quebec clergy. I came close to death (August 23) needs no lengthy explanations.
