It is a great moment of emotion that offered Rayane in Amazing talent 2022, on M6, on October 18. The 15-year-old slapped everyone with his sublime performance and his personal story that touched everyone, especially Hélène Ségara.
From the height of her 15 years, Rayane has upset everyone. The young man has been living in a home located in Montreuil for a year, his dad having no fixed accommodation and his mom having too many health problems. It was during this period that he began to learn the piano… by watching YouTube videos. Unable to afford this instrument, he plays it in stations or music stores. Thanks to this, he was spotted by the casting director, which earned him his presence in the show presented by Karine Le Marchand.
Rayane said he wanted to join the conservatory in order to continue this time and thus revive the classical music he loves so much. After telling her story on the set, place her masterful interpretation which took away some tears from Marianne James but also from Hélène Segara (who almost did not be on the set because of her illness). It also earned him a standing ovation. “Well, that’s incredible talent. That’s why we’re doing this show. (…) You embody all that is more beautiful guy“, launched Eric Antoine. With the other members of the jury, he then promised to find him a piano.
Hélène Ségara very touched
After a few words from Sugar Sammy and Marianne James, Hélène Ségara in turn opened up about her personal story similar to Rayane. “Exactly at your age, I too left my house. And I’ve been to a place… sorry“, she said at first before crying. Once slightly recovered from her emotions, the 51-year-old singer continued: “I’m very proud of you, even though we don’t know each other. I wanted to tell you that at that age, whenever I was in pain, I sang in the place where I was. And my math teacher said to me: ‘Hélène, this voice, this nightingale, you have to sing, make your life out of it.’ For me it was just a dream, today you are here. I can’t believe you’ve only been playing for a year. And I think you’ll allow others to dream“, she concluded, before pressing the Golden Buzzer. She thus allowed the teenager to go directly to the final.
If she doesn’t say it clearly, The Parisian specifies that the singer was placed in a home, just like Rayane. “My math teacher made me sing at the end of class, to make me happy. He helped me a lot (…). Behind the talents, there is the human, and his performance blends with his story. He became interested in the piano when he went through painful times. This fairy tale is a great message for all of us, it also sent me back, of course, to what I experienced“, she confided to our colleagues.
In terms of audiences, this return brought together 3.08 million viewers, i.e. an audience share of 16.7% as revealed by our colleagues from Puremedia. M6 was thus on the second step of the podium, behind France 3 which broadcast Bellefond (4.12 million).
