Hélène Ségara forced to have surgery: a relative of Celine Dion helped her get back in shape

This Tuesday, November 1, the competition Amazing talent continues on M6 from 9:10 p.m. Viewers will thus find the candidates as well as the quartet of judges made up of Marianne James, Eric Antoine, Sugar Sammy and Hélène Ségara.

The latter made a very noticeable return to the show, in particular because of her face transformed by taking medication. The 51-year-old singer has indeed suffered for several years from a eye problem which could be similar to optic neuritis which is an autoimmune disease. But she assures him, “there is still no real diagnosis“, to her great regret. Her good support nevertheless allows her to pursue her career as best as she can.”It was not won that I could resume my activities… My eye problems are important, but it is above all my treatment that is heavy. When I started, my vision was catastrophic. We managed to slow things down“, she explained during an interview for Entertainment TV published on October 24.

Hélène Ségara is unfortunately now used to passing through the hands of health professionals. Already in its infancy, the former star of the musical Notre Dame of Paris was forced to do operate vocal cords. “When I arrived in Paris, I sang with a very bad technique for my vocal cords. I was afraid to take lessons and someone would distort my voice and break my sensitivity. After vocal cord surgery, I moved to New York in 2000“, she remembered for our colleagues.

Fortunately, she then surrounded herself with a renowned expert who allowed her to become the successful performer we know. The latter had already worked miracles with another great renowned singer. “I worked with Celine Dion’s teacher, who took care of my rehabilitation. He showed me how to use my voice, giving me the keys that I lacked“, she revealed. A work that has certainly paid off!
