They never leave each other, but no one would have imagined that they would become friends. Especially when we learn that the story started very badly between them at the end of the 1990s. Indeed, Julie Zenatti and Hélène Segara appreciate each other enormously today but a few years ago, it was not really the case. In any case, this is what the premiere made clear when it came to the set of Telematin on France 2 this Friday, November 25.
As a reminder, the two artists met when they collaborated in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris at the end of the 1990s. At that time, the agreement was not in good shape between the two as confided by Julie Zenatti . “You have to know that we still have a small age gap. When I arrived, I was a teenager, Hélène, she was already a woman and I rejected adults a little because I didn’t feel not comfortable in that world.” She tries to explain before reassuring everyone: “When we found each other, then we did not let go. He is someone who is extremely loyal and whom I love very much.”
The past, gone
This statement followed a video message received a few seconds earlier from… Hélène Segara precisely. The artist who has been fighting against the disease for several years has indeed wanted to make a “Hello” to her “little Julie” that she knew was present on the set of Telematin.
“Hello my little Julie, I wanted to give you a little kiss on this show to tell you that I’m thinking of you. We’ve known each other for more than twenty years, you have become, despite all the things we have lived, an accomplice”, she said in the video in question. The opportunity for Julie Zenatti to discuss their complicated relationship in its early days: “It’s true that with Hélène, it took us a long time to find each other…” Words that confirm those that Hélène Segara made at Faustine Bollaert in 2021: “When we started Our Ladywe pulled a little by the hair”, she confessed.
