Mountains at the gates of Provence, sunshine almost all year round, a large garden to harvest fresh produce, a swimming pool to cool off… Hélène de Fougerolles leads a new dream life in the Luberon, hundreds of kilometers from Paris.
In April 2020, the famous 49-year-old actress announced to Paris Match his desire to leave Paris, following the harsh test of confinement. “Like many Parisians, I think that now I want to live in the countryside. Yellow vests, strikes, confinement… the atmosphere is leaden and unpleasant. So for sure, I’m going to break. I want to be in the countryside, have a vegetable garden“, declared the one who decided to leave the series Balthazar (TF1) the same year. This project, the mother of Shana (19 years old) carried it out, and she even went even further! Hélène de Fougerolles has embarked on the creation of a living space dedicated to adults with autism, her daughter Shana being one herself. In particular, she recounted her complex journey in her book Don’t worry, mom, it’ll be fine, published by Fayard. This specialized living space is called Maison de Shana.
Installed year-round in the Vaucluse for several months, the actress documents her new daily life on Instagram where more than 85,000 subscribers follow her. And the least we can say is that the South is successful!
