Hélène Darroze absent … Here is the identity of the star of the stove who will take her place in the program broadcast on M6!

Nearly 2.3 million people watched the ninth episode of Top chef on M6, Wednesday, April 13. The four brigades had to compete against a test concocted by Adrien Cachot, unfortunate finalist of Top Chef 2020 for the benefit of David Gallienne. He asked the cast of the 13th season to cook his favorite product: offal (Hearts, livers, kidneys, tripe, tongues…). Mickaël and Pascal from Philippe Etchebest’s team distinguished themselves then the six other candidates had to impress the Italian chef Massimo Bottura for the second round. The latter asked them still in the running to prepare a recipe from stale bread, in order to fight against food waste. And it was finally Arnaud and Lucie, from Glenn Viel’s team who qualified. Paul Pairet and Hélène Darroze therefore decided to send Sébastien then Thibaut as a last chance, on the theme of cucumber. For personal reasons, Hélène Darroze was absent and did not participate in the tasting and the elimination of her candidate Thibaut.

Who to replace her?

The absence of Hélène Darroze will continue. The filming of the culinary competition took place last fall, when Laeticia Hallyday’s friend announced on social networks the death of her father, Francis and Claude, her uncle. A difficult and delicate period when she had to go to her family. So during the next two episodes of Top Chef, she gave way to … Pascal Barbot. The chef of L’Astrance (2 stars), will temporarily complete a jury composed of Philippe Etchebest, Paul Pairet and Glenn Viel. The establishment has long been listed among the 50 best restaurants in the world established by the 50 World’s best restaurants. In the next episode, on Thursday April 21, he will have to form a new brigade since the last two outgoing, Thibaut Spiwack and Lilian Douchet, will return to hope to reintegrate a brigade … to the detriment of other candidates.
