Like every evening, the 11 p.m. news news takes a look at the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping on Thursday June 13.

In Spain, flash floods. This is the consequence of torrential rains that occurred in the region of Murcia, in the south-east of the country. Fifty liters of water fell in one hour. Several people were treated by emergency services. The only consolation is a lake. The precipitation caused an increase in water volume, now at 37%, compared to just 2% previously.

Bulgaria was also hit by a violent weather episode. A hailstone storm hit the north of the country. The pieces of ice caused damage to crops and cars. “I have never seen hailstones this big”, confides a resident. In the south of Europe, in Greece, the heatwave is raging. Temperatures are close to 40 degrees, especially in Athens. The famous ancient monument, the Acropolis, has been temporarily closed.
