An armed man tried to enter the VIP area of Donald Trump’s meeting at Coachella in California on Saturday October 12, armed with a fake press pass, announces the Riverside Sheriff’s Office. He was stopped by police at a checkpoint before entering the parking lot.
The 49-year-old man, who came from Las Vegas, was in possession of a hunting rifle, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine, details the local news site KTLA. Sheriff Chad Bianco, a supporter of the Republican candidate, describes this incident as Donald Trump’s third assassination attemptaccording to the Southern California News Group. The Republican candidate’s team has not yet commented on the incident. The meeting then took place without problems.
The former president has already been the target of two assassination attempts during the 2024 presidential campaign. The first, in mid-July, in Pennsylvania, where he was shot in the ear, the second, in September, where a man armed with a rifle was intercepted at the last minute in the billionaire’s Florida golf course.
