The heat wave intensified on Friday June 17, yet this did not prevent some brave people from doing their usual jogging.

The temperature is already very high in France, Friday June 17, but for some people, this does not prevent them from doing their sport as usual. According to a jogger, “It’s getting very hot to run”, yet he has indeed put on his sneakers to play sports on his only day off. However, when the thermometer exceeds 30°C, it is strongly advised not to engage in physical activity.

To avoid having sunstroke or discomfort, certain techniques exist in particular to allow you to sweat more profusely and therefore to evacuate the heat much more effectively. Rescuers, however, warn against the dangers of an activity at too high an intensity. “People practice their activities (…) rather endurance sports outdoors, they are subjected to heat and in these cases, the body having difficulty adapting, they will trigger discomfort”says firefighter lieutenant Lionel François.
