The standoff between health insurance and liberal doctors continues, Sunday, February 26. Doctors have until Tuesday evening to decide on the passage of the price to 26.50 euros, but this is far from the account for general practitioners.
Auscultate, accompany their patient, prescribe prescriptions, gestures that general practitioners would like to charge more. For several months, they have been shouting their anger and demanding an increase in consultation rates, as during the last demonstration on February 14. “Our consultation has not been upgraded since at least 2017”had lamented a demonstrator.
An increase to 30 euros under conditions
After several weeks of negotiation, health insurance offers to go from 25 to 26.50 euros for a consultation and even 30 euros if the doctor agrees to work more by taking on new patients or doing more on-call duty. These conditions do not apply to practitioners who continue to ask for an increase to 30 or 50 euros but without compensation. The unions are currently consulting their members to find out whether or not they accept the health insurance proposal.
