Faced with the lack of general practitioners and to meet the growing demand from patients, SOS Médecins is in the process of opening consultation rooms.

In Beauvais (Oise), an SOS doctors consultation office is brand new. It has just opened its doors, but the waiting room is already full. “We already have 94 appointments made for this afternoon and in the evening”, reveals Laurence Brack, medical secretary. Consultations are provided 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, on site and at home. Medical aid is welcome in the Oise.

“There was an observation on medical desertification which was very intense with a very significant lack of doctors in Oise compared to the rest of France”, says Doctor Florent Jendrzejewski, President of SOS Médecins Beauvais. The observation is the same in Dijon (Côte-d’Or) where a consulting firm has opened in the city center. He is attacked. Emergency medicine has adapted to support overworked physicians. The organization also attracts young doctors.
