Julien Gasparutto, correspondent in Brussels (Belgium) for France Télévisions, takes stock of health restrictions in European countries.
Some countries are releasing the pressure in the face of the sharp drop in the number of contaminations, such as in England. “Boris Johnson surprised everyone by announcing that he would lift most health restrictions next week because contaminations are down sharply. In Madrid (Spain), the figures are not improving, but there too, the government is considering to reduce the measures because he believes that we must learn to live with the virus”reports Julien Gasparutto, correspondent in Brussels for France Télévisions.
In Germany, it’s a completely different strategy, the authorities put pressure on the non-vaccinated. “Those who have made this choice face significant restrictions. They can no longer go to bars or restaurants. In the Netherlands, cafes and restaurants have been closed for several weeks and they will remain so at least until next week. The government has barely agreed to reopen non-essential shops, but the country remains one of the strictest in Europe.”adds Julien Gasparutto.
