The Tarn-et-Garonne has organized a seduction operation to attract future doctors. For a weekend, they were able to discover the department and its treasures.

Above the village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val (Tarn-et-Garonne), a small group of tourists are preparing to discover the Roc d’Anglars site by via ferrata. All are future general practitioners. This seduction operation is led by Tarn-et-Garonne. Around twenty medical students from all over France are invited to discover the department’s remarkable sites. At the abbey of Beaulieu-en-Rouergue, they were welcomed by representatives of the various institutions which are mobilizing to deal with medical demography.

Ten health centers

Today, the population can no longer find general practitioners. […] More than 20% of the Tarn-et-Garonne population does not have a referring doctor.explains Catherine Bourdoncle, the vice-president of the Departmental Council. To attract new doctors, you have to seduce them. In Occitania, the region has already opened ten health centers. Doctors are employed there. Practicing your profession without administrative or financial constraints is an undeniable advantage for these highly courted students.
