Health, Addiction and Home Care | Ottawa transfers 268 million to Quebec

(Montreal) The Government of Canada will transfer nearly $270 million to Quebec to support home and community care as well as mental health and addiction services.


Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos made the announcement at the Hochelaga Community Center in Montreal on Monday morning, in the presence of the deputy for the constituency Soraya Martinez Ferrada, as well as the Minister of Mental Health and dependencies, Carolyn Bennett.

This agreement provides for the transfer of $268 million to Quebec in 2022-2023, an amount that comes from the investment of $11 billion over 10 years provided for in Budget 2017 for all provinces and territories.
