According to a Norwegian study, more than half of the world’s population suffers from headaches. In details : 26% suffer from tension headaches, those that give pressure or tightness to the head, 14% have migraines. And for 5% of the population, headaches come back at least 15 days a month“, explains Frederique Prabonnaudhealth journalist, present on the set of 12/13, Thursday April 14.

In order to achieve this result, researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology compiled more than 350 studies, published between 1961 and 2020. “Almost 58% of women suffer from it compared to less than 45% of men. Especially for hormonal reasons“, continues the journalist. The most affected are 10-19 year olds and headaches become more frequent with puberty. However, they are less present after 65 years.
