Head of a pedophile “social club”: arrested again just after being released

Barely released from prison, a true apostle of child pornography tried to reconnect with a former member of his pedophile “social club”, so much so that he should be criminally charged again.

“You are saying that there is nothing wrong with checking in on old friends or keeping information from the past such as people’s contacts,” lamented the Parole Board of Canada. [CLCC] by recommending charges against André Faivre.

Faivre, 75, had nevertheless begun following a sexual delinquency program at the penitentiary, leading people to believe that he wanted to change. However, obviously, he has not progressed that much since his arrest in 2016 during a strike against a pedophile network.

At the time, Faivre was the head of a “social club” of pedophiles, and kept a secure server at his home so that men attracted to children could communicate in complete safety.

“They advised each other on the tactics to use and the places to frequent, with the aim of approaching children without arousing suspicion and thus going under the radar of the police authorities,” summarizes the CLCC.

The group was, however, infiltrated by a double agent from the Sûreté du Québec, which put an end to their criminal enterprise. Faivre, who had also been found guilty of molesting children at the time when he acted as a foster family, had then received an overall sentence of 12 years, in addition to being labeled a long-term offender despite the opinion of a psychologist.

This measure, reserved for the most serious cases, made it possible to impose special conditions on Faivre once his sentence had been served. And it worked, since taking into account the calculations of preventive detention, Faivre was able to be released last January. And just afterwards, he allegedly broke one of his conditions prohibiting him from resuming contact with his former accomplices.

“According to you, the purpose of the contacts was to hear from him and ask him for information on support circles,” lamented the CLCC.

Wolf in the Creamery

Except his excuses didn’t work, considering all his history of flouting the laws. For example, while on parole, he went to the hospital and approached a young man who appeared to be a minor. In a halfway house, he was also caught with a wolf-shaped pendant, supposed to symbolize the bad wolf in the story of Little Red Riding Hood. And more recently, he had been caught frequenting a creamery next to a daycare, as well as in an erotic store.

“You were unable to control your sexual urges,” noted the CLCC, adding that even in prison, he was “arrogant, contemptuous and condescending.”

And as nothing seems to be working in Faivre’s case, the CLCC decided to contact the police, so that Faivre could be charged with breach of condition for his latest escapade of having made contact with an accomplice, despite a formal ban.

“The City of Montreal Police Department supports this recommendation and your case will be entrusted to a detective sergeant from the sex offender surveillance team,” concluded the CLCC.
