At 60 years old, Kad Merad
enjoys life to the fullest and is not about to retire. The proof, with the new series in which he plays and which he came to promote on the set of Daily this Wednesday April 10, 2024: Anthracite.
A series Netflix composed of 6 episodes of 52 minutes in which Hatik, Camille Lou, or even Kad Merad respond to each other. This project is particularly inspired by the collective suicide of 16 disciples of the Temple of the Sun sect in the Vercors almost 30 years ago.

Kad Merad, not happy to have passed his sixties
In fact, Yann Barthès wanted to question the companion of Julia Vignali, guest of the evening with Hatik, about the history of this new series in which he plays one of the main roles. But before that, the host of the daily TMC recalled that the actor had just celebrated his 60th birthday. Indeed, since March 27, the French actor has passed his sixties.
Yann Barthès therefore wanted to know what had changed in the life of Kad Merad since passing this milestone. “Nothing changes, apart from these stupid questions”then retorted Julia Vignali’s companion.
After reframing the presenter with a lot of humor, the actor appeared much more serious. “In the series, I play a breeder. Besides, there is a calving scene. I am comfortable with animals”he explains about his role in the Anthracite series.
Many projects despite being 60 years old
Afterwards, Kad Merad revealed to have “an old dream in life”. A dream that he was able to fulfill “two years ago when I bought a farm”. “A farm. In Burgundy. I have some land, I will have to exploit it. I plan to do livestock farming”, he concluded. Even though he is over sixty, Julia Vignali’s companion has kept his humor and still has as many projects, even far from comedy.
