“He only returns 15 cents instead of 25”, Valérie Pécresse calls on Emmanuel Macron to return the money to the French, Castex gets involved!

The candidate Les Républicains (LR) for the presidential election, Valérie Pécresse, was, on March 20, the guest of Sunday in politics, on France 3.

On set, the latter notably asked Emmanuel Macron to return the money collected by the State following the rise in fuel prices.

“I am told that the surplus is 25 cents per liter of fuel, but it only gives back 15 cents so I don’t understand why we don’t give back the full amount (…) It’s not normal that the state makes a profit on the rise in prices”she said.

“The state is giving back the money from the gas hike, that’s what I asked for, the only question I ask myself is why on April 1st, why not now since it’s now that the French can no longer move?”, she had already launched a few days earlier. Pécresse was referring to the fact that this was done just before the first round of the presidential election.

Jean Castex, he firmly defends the government: “The state has not enriched itself on the backs of the French”he insisted on specifying. “I can’t let it be said that the state is filling its pockets. It is clearly the opposite”.
