“He left me for Gilbert Montagné!”

He never forgot it and still keeps it in his throat. If many would have liked to spend time with Johnny Hallyday, or be his friend, Herbert Léonard, he does not have good memories of his friendship with the Taulier. Indeed, invited to Jordan de Luxe this Thursday, March 2, the 78-year-old artist did not mince his words when the journalist asked him what he thought of the ex-companion of Laeticia Hallyday.

“Johnny wasn’t very good at friendship!”, loose Herbert Léonard straight away. Something to surprise Jordan de Luxe. To support his words, the interpreter of “Mad Lovers” with Julie Pietri, then explains: “I was taken down on social networks, but I experienced it it’s true, one day he takes me to RTL, and there passes Gilbert Montagné”. The interpreter of “Tropical Sunlights” then totally hypnotized Johnny Hallyday: “He dumped me for Gilbert!”. When Johnny Hallyday left, Herbert Léonard “never saw him again”. This is why, at present, he considers that “yes, Johnny was not faithful in friendship and it’s true!”

Still at the microphone of Jordan de Luxe, the artist also returned to the ordeal he experienced a few years ago. Years during which he almost left for good because of his “55 years of cigarettes, two packs a day”. “I developed a serious lung infection. I had a 32-day coma, I was totally disabled and I couldn’t move”continues Herbert Léonard before adding: “my muscles had melted, my arteries are not holding up, and my legs too”.

If this difficult moment took place several years ago, the interpreter of “For pleasure” again had to deal with a few scares at the time of the pandemic. Indeed, Herbert Léonard was the subject of a “serious covid”. COVID that forced him to stay “three months on oxygen”. “I couldn’t breathe, it was my wife who saved me”, he recalled. A moment he would probably like to forget.
