For more than two decades, Vin Diesel, known for playing Dominic Toretto on screen, and his “family”, have become experts in the art of car racing. It was in 2001 that the saga Fast and Furious debuted under the direction of Rob Cohen, with an initial budget of $38 million. Over the years, the franchise has seen tremendous growth, both in terms of budget and box office success. The high point was notably reached thanks to the 7th part, which generated more than 1.5 billion dollars in revenue worldwide.
In addition to a phenomenal budget for the realization of Fast & Furious 10, the actors also landed exorbitant salaries. The film turned out to be a full-fledged production within the franchise, which showed signs of losing momentum, leaving uncertainty surrounding a possible sequel. However, a Fast & Furious 11 is indeed in preparation, as is a new spin-off called Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Reyes. But if Dwayne Johnson is preparing to make a major return to the saga, Vin Diesel would have made the decision to prevent a famous actor from joining the adventure.

“They want me in Fast & Furious”
Jean-Claude Van Damme, the legend of action cinema, recently revealed during an interview with The Telegraph that he could have been part of Fast & Furious. Unfortunately, the main actor, Vin Diesel, reportedly vetoed it.
“They want me in Fast & Furious. But Vin Diesel said, ‘No, no.'” Our colleagues do not specify which part of the franchise the actor is referring to, but the use of the present tense suggests that Jean-Claude Van Damme could have joined the cast of a recent film. As for the reasons which pushed Paul Walker’s sidekick to make this decision, these remain a mystery.
