Robert Badinter “is in my personal Pantheon”greets Tuesday February 13 on France Inter the Minister of National Education Nicole Belloubet, on the eve of the national tribute paid to the father of the abolition of the death penalty, who died at the end of last week at the age of 95.
The former Minister of Justice and former law professor pays tribute to Robert Badinter, for whom she has a “great admiration”. She mentions in particular “his tenacity and the vision he had of what law and justice were”.
Nicole Belloubet describes Robert Badinter as a “a man extraordinarily close to those he frequented”. She remembers that it was “considerable support” while she was Minister of Justice. “In difficult times, he had a closeness and words that were always just on a human level,” she insists.
