Haley Louvelle, who captured the images of her husband before sharing them on her TikTok account, left a note for the employee before they left for Jamaica.
The 22-year-old Torontonian tenderly held her husband’s arm during the announcement, which took place on January 6.
“A young man named Josh was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in June 2020. Since then, he has undergone chemo and radiation treatments in addition to undergoing surgeries to have his right lung, thymus, and pericardium removed. and part of his diaphragm,” she said over the intercom.
“He was on life support twice in addition to frequent trips to the hospital for years. He fought for his life and now he is completely healed. Today he is on his way to his honeymoon in Jamaica,” the flight attendant continued, provoking thunderous applause in the plane.
Haley Louvelle said in an interview with the magazine People that her honeymoon was postponed three times due to Josh’s treatments.
