At 79, Salvatore Adamo still has energy to spare! No way for him to rest on his laurels. As he continues to promote “In French Please!”, his last opus, the interpreter of “The snow falls” gave an exclusive interview to our colleagues from“As an aside” for Canal+. Facing the camera as indicated by “Gala”, the happy father of three children returned to one of the dramas of his life: the tragic disappearance of his father which occurred while he was enjoying a family moment at the beach. .
“He left very young, at 46 years old. I was 23 years old. I was in Biarritz. He left dramatically”, lamented Salvatore Adamo. During this exchange with Nathalie Levy, Salvatore Adamo delivered other details not without emotion: “At one point, one of my sisters, with a cousin, who were playing in the water, pretended to be in trouble. My dad thought they were really in trouble. He dived and suffered a hydrocution“.

“I didn’t have my father’s authority…”
In adversity and pain, the artist took it upon himself to support his clan: “He left me a family so I had to be the tutor and the guide. I was able to help them materially. But I didn’t have my father’s authority”, he specified. Without filter, Salvatore Adamo admitted not to like “have authority” and prefer “propose and everyone agrees.” To this day, he cherishes all the memories related to his parent.
According to him, Salvatore Adamo also inherited his vocal power from him. : “My dad had that voice. He sang from time to time, family celebrations. He was a joker, he told jokes. He also left that voice to two of my sisters.” Rare (and new) confessions that will certainly upset viewers!
