he admits he can sink if he loses his job

Benjamin Castaldiis not ashamed to say it: he was at the top but he also sank when he lost everything, especially when he was fired from TF1. That said, the columnist of Do not touch My TV was able to bounce back.

When editing TPMP People of this Thursday, April 28, 2022, the one who had doubts about his sexuality returned to his money troubles after Matthieu Delormeau highlighted his generosity when he took him home after a breakup. “You were extremely generous. At the time at TF1, you earned two million a year (…) You were paid monthly for taxes, 72,000 euros per month” recalled the host.

Benjamin Castaldi then took the opportunity to discuss his regrets and his mistakes in his financial choices. “I was wrong to say that I was happy to earn money, I was proud of my achievement. There is no shame in succeeding. Except that on TV, they say they earn 20,000 euros a month when they earn 200. I had bought an apartment, a country house… I had assets (…) I didn’t kept only goods that were not toxic. I had three million euros invested that I thought I would pay on credit (…) When I sold my company, which I sold very well against all of my income (…) I did not anticipate the lifestyle that I had” he recalled.

Before continuing: “When you’re on a liner, you’re in the middle of a divorce and you say to yourself I have to stop the liner, it doesn’t stop in a hundred meters (…) I braked too late (…) in the meantime I was fired from TF1 (…) I was told that my assets were estimated at 250,000 euros because it was c*rde (…) I I am partially responsible for it”.

Currently indebted for nearly two million euros in debt, Benjamin Castaldi is repaying little by little. During the pandemic, he would have confided to Matthieu Delormeau that he would end up ruined if he did not lose even one month’s salary. Such a difficult time…
