Haute-Savoie candidate to organize the world cycling championships in 2027

The last road cycling world championships in Haute-Savoie date back to 1980 in Sallanches, with the coronation of a certain Bernard Hinault. As a symbol, the organizers unveiled the Haute-Savoie bid to organize the 2027 world cycling championships at the top of the Domancy coast. The organizers also announce construction of an indoor velodrome. The Haute-Savoie department is a historical partner of world cycling, with two road world championships in 1964 and 1980, like mountain bikingin Les Gets, in 2004 and 2022.
