Haute-Savoie: a hunt launched after the escape of a detainee

Following a suspected fracture, the 17-year-old minor was taken to a hospital last Sunday. He took advantage of the opening of the sliding door to escape. “You should know that there have already been numerous escapes with this type of equipment which is totally unsuitable. In addition, it was Christmas Eve, so there are very few staff”, specifies Elise Company, general secretary of the CGC justice union. 37 gendarmes, a helicopter, a dog team and a technical drone were deployed to find him.
Call for witnesses launched
The gendarmerie launched a call for witnesses on social networks. “Measuring approximately 176 centimeters, size 42, wearing a green Algeria jersey with black tracksuit bottoms. During his escape, he was wearing a handcuffed wrist splint”, specify the gendarmes. According to the Annecy public prosecutor’s office, the wanted minor is not armed and is not considered dangerous. The accused is under criminal arrest warrant as part of a judicial investigation for acts of armed robbery.
