Haute-Garonne: four patients running away from Toulouse psychiatric hospitals in 10 days

The runaway of a patient from a psychiatric establishment on the afternoon of Friday January 28, the Marchant hospital located in Toulouse (Upper Garonne), has been confirmed. He is a 43-year-old Toulousain indicted for rape of his partner in 2011 and interned since 2013 in psychiatry. Currently wanted, it is still unclear how he specifically escaped, but the hospital fences do not appear to be difficult to cross.

The very old hospital accommodates 360 patients in several pavilions distributed in a vast park in the south of the city. This runaway comes just 10 days after that of a 34-year-old former soldier, who had also escaped the vigilance of the hospital. nicknamed the cannibal of the Pyrenees, he attacked a 72-year-old resident before being arrested. A few days later, two new runaways involving the hospital Purpan, urgently triggered an inspection mission by the Regional Health Agency.
