While the Ehpad Orpea are in turmoil after accusations of abuse, the question of state responsibility arises. This one would have insufficiently controlled these establishments.

The new CEO of Orpea has an appointment with the Minister of Autonomy to explain himself and this is only the beginning. Two inspections have just been announced: one of social affairs and the other Business financial. Indeed, Orpea is accused of mistreatment within its nursing homes. At the end of the meeting, Philippe Charrier, new CEO of Orpea affirms that the controls are not a problem. “We are very happy to have these inspections and these checks, already, we know that several accusations are unfounded, I have proof of this”, did he declare.

In the National Assembly, questions arise. THEtat hashe fulfilled his role of controlling the nursing home ? An employee, who testifies anonymously, reveals than Orpea was warned of these checks in advance and had a habit of concealing any malfunction.
