Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West to headline the next Coachella festival

After the cancellation of its last two editions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the famous Coachella music festival which takes place in Indio, in the Californian desert (United States), plans to make its return in April, with as headliners singers Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West (under his stage name Ye).

The 2022 edition is scheduled for two replicated weekends, April 15-17, then April 22-24. The ticket office opens Friday January 14 for the second weekend. The first is already full.

Among the dozens of artists invited to the festival are also Stromae, Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Idles, King Gizzard, Flume, Disclosure, Rich Brian, Jamie xx, Run the Jewels, Arlo Parks, Steve Lacy, Richie Hawtin , Idles, Caribou, Spirtitualized, Hot Chip, Duck Sauce, Fatboy Slim, BadBadNotGood, Finneas (Billie Eilish’s solo brother) and Vince Staples.

Among the French, we note the Nantes DJ with international success Madeon, as well as the electro-pop group L’Impératrice, nominated in the Revelations category at the next Victoires de la musique. Led by singer Flore, the sextet was already scheduled at the Coachella festival in 2020, but this edition could not take place due to the pandemic.

Organized by the American show production giant AEG, Coachella, which traditionally kicks off the international music festival season, has not been able to hold since 2019. The 2020 edition, after a postponement to the fall, had to be canceled, just like that of 2021.

The organizers hope to be able to keep it running at full capacity, welcoming 125,000 festival-goers every day. If the current health measures are still in effect in April, festival-goers will have to provide proof of a full vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours.
