In 2006, TF1 created a surprise by announcing the arrival of Harry Roselmack on television news: first black man to present on a television channel French television news, the journalist quickly entered the hearts of the French. Joker by Patrick Poivre d’Arvor for two years, he was then that of Laurence Ferrari, but made a brutal decision which surprised more than one in 2011: after five years spent ensuring the holidays of the holders, Harry Roselmack decided to leave the news to devote himself exclusively to Seven to Eight, the Sunday magazine that he has presented on TF1 for eighteen seasons. A decision on which he returned this Saturday, December 2, 2023 with Jade and Éric Dussart on RTL, and which he does not regretdon’t worry.
“At that moment, I’m not burned out but I have plenty of activities (…) I have 7 to 8I also worked at the time at RTL The Unexpected Journal at that time. I have immersion, which means a lot to me. And, while the others are on vacation, well, I’m doing the 8 p.m. replacements. I’ve considered, having also a family and responsibilities in this regard, that it was a bit muchI decided to leave the position where I was not tenured, and I have no regrets about having done it” said Harry Roselmack. Asked about the possibility of regretting never having been given this position by TF1, the 50-year-old journalist confides that management never made him this offer, which he could have accepted: “If it had been offered to me, I’m not saying that I would have refused it (…) I loved what I was doing elsewhere.”.
“It does not interest me”
Let Gilles Bouleau, Anne-Sophie Lapix or Julien Arnaud rest assured: Harry Roselmack does not intend to return to the news. Twelve years after his departure from 8 p.m., Harry Roselmack claims to have hung up his phone for good, and does not want to return to his past loves: “It’s over for me. I’m moving towards other horizons. I’m really flourishing in what I’m doing today and I don’t want to represent a newscast; it does not interest me“ he confided frankly at the microphone of RTL.
