Yes, it’s nostalgic, rubbery bass, synth and 808 tones inspired by the legendary’s repertoire. label New Yorker Strictly Rhythm, recalling the graceful years of vocal house – on the powerful Running Out of Time and You Always Know, the voice of Douglas even recalls the carnal timbre of Shara Nelson, the voice of the classic Unfinished Sympathy (1991) from Massive Attack.
