The Minister of Culture and Communications, Mathieu Lacombe, announced on Tuesday an investment of 3 million over three years to help artists and cultural workers who are victims of harassment and sexual violence.
In fact, it is a matter of helping workers in the cultural sector to assert their rights. This aid will be managed by L’Aparté, of the Clinique Juripop, which will support these workers in their legal procedures.
Eligible persons will thus be accompanied and represented free of charge by lawyers from L’Aparté before the Administrative Labor Tribunal (TAP).
The general manager of Juripop, Mr.e Sophie, Gagnon, was delighted with this announcement, which reinforces the mandate of L’Aparté, which has supported more than 400 people since its establishment in 2018.
More details to come.
