(Hamilton) Hamilton police say they have arrested one of Canada’s most wanted fugitives while conducting another investigation.
Habiton Solomon, 21, was sixth on the list of Canada’s 25 most wanted fugitives.
Police say his arrest Friday in downtown Hamilton was related to a separate investigation.
Police say he fled, but was eventually apprehended. Investigators then learned he was a suspect in the shooting death of 18-year-old Joshua Tarnue last August in Kitchener.
He is also wanted in connection with a shooting in Hamilton.
Police said they were responding to a disturbance call in the area of King West and Caroline North streets last July, where they found evidence of a shooting. No one had been injured.
