It’s an enticing program that awaits us, Thursday, July 6, at Wimbledon. If several matches of the first round must end, or even begin on certain courts, this fourth day marks above all the end of the second round. At least, if the rain does not invite itself again in the London sky… On the central court, Casper Ruud (4th in the world), last finalist at Roland-Garros, will launch hostilities against the local Liam Broady (142nd) . In the process, Alizé Cornet will have a hard time facing the defending champion and third in the WTA ranking, Elena Rybakina.

Among the eight French people in the running, the number 1 tricolor Caroline Garcia (5th) will also be there, in the third rotation on court n°3, and will face the Canadian Leylah Fernandez (95th). For his part, Adrian Mannarino will challenge the world number 3, the Russian Daniil Medvedev, not before the end of the afternoon, while Grégoire Barrère will be opposed to Denis Shapovalov (n°26), and Arthur Fils to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina ( #31). Finally, the beautiful poster, so awaited by British spectators, will oppose at the end of the day, on the “Center Court”, the darling Andy Murray, double winner of Wimbledon, to Stefanos Tsitsipas (5th).
