The Journal of Quebec reported Thursday that schools prohibit children from imitating the costumes of characters from the series classified for adults, whose name in French is The squid game. In a press scrum reported Thursday by QMI, Minister Jean-François Roberge associates the ban on dressing up as Squid Game to the “somewhat extreme banishment” culture. In the United States, CBS News reported Thursday that several schools in New York City are banning children from dressing up as these characters for Halloween because they are associated with extreme violence. These schools also prohibit children from bringing items of costume to class that could be interpreted as weapons.
