(Montreal) The Order of Nurses of Quebec (OIIQ) is launching a campaign against nurses’ “sexy costumes” on Halloween.

A few days before the party, the OIIQ says it wants to fight stereotypes and promote the profession.
The order thus encourages Quebecers who want to celebrate Halloween to choose a “real nurse” costume.
In a press release, the president of the OIIQ Luc Mathieu affirms that the eroticization of the profession is unacceptable, adding that “nurses exercise a scientific profession”.
“Their expertise must be better known and valued,” he pleads.
As part of this campaign, the OIIQ broadcast an advertisement, in which it shows the image of “sexy nurses”, in comparison to the image of “real nurses”.
The ad ends with the following message: “Nurses care for our world. Take care of their image”.
