Halloumi fries with spicy tomato sauce (from Filakia

– Start by cutting the cheese into sticks about 2 cm to 3 cm long.

– Prepare three containers to make breadcrumbs: 1 flour + 1 with beaten eggs + 1 breadcrumbs.

– Dip each cheese stick first in the flour, then in the beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs.

– In a small fryer or a saucepan with high edges, pour the frying oil and heat it up to 160°C – 170°C.

– Immerse the sticks in very hot oil and fry them until they are nicely browned.

– Drain the halloumi fries on absorbent paper.

– Add a dash of lemon juice. v Eat them hot with a little tzatziki. Kali Orexi!
