(Halle) Alexander Bublik beat Germany’s Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday to earn a place in the Halle Open final.
Ranked 48ethe Kazakh scored 14 aces and saved the only break point conceded to ninth-seeded Zverev.
The match lasted one hour and 27 minutes.
Zverev reached the Halle final in 2016 and 2017. He was aiming for his first title since 2021.
Bublik is 3-1 in career against Zverev.
Bublik, big winner in Montpellier last year, will face Roberto Bautista Agut or Andrey Rublev in the final.
Rublev is the third seed, Bautista Agut the eighth.
