On Tuesday, Serge Denoncourt received the media in the rehearsal room of Hate, Parthenais Street, in Montreal. The director directs the musical there, created in New York in 1967, in a new adaptation in French.

” Of Anne To Mary Poppins Passing by The chorists, Just for Laughs has a history of presenting entertainment for the whole family. However, this summer, the production took another approach: Hate deals with sex, drugs, war, racism… Artistically, we are close to “happening”, as at the time of L’Osstidcho”, explains Denoncourt.

Hate will bring together 25 performers, including Éléonore Lagacé, Philippe Touzel, Kevin Houle, Sarah-Maude Desgagnés, Maxime Olivier Potvin and Félix LaHaye.

Hate, starting June 16, at the Théâtre St-Denis; and in December in Quebec.
