Titled Gwyneth Goes Skiing, the show will be staged at the Pleasance Theater in London, from December 13 to 23. Awkward Productions, a troupe that describes itself as “the pioneers of queer chaos,” wrote and directed the production.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s character will be played by Linus Karp. The public will be invited to participate in the show by playing the trial jury.

As the title suggests, Gwyneth Goes Skiing is inspired by the curious trial featuring Gwyneth Paltrow in Park City, Utah, last March. The actress won an Oscar in 1999 for her role in the film Shakespeare and Juliet had been sued for $3 million by a 76-year-old optometrist who accused her of injuring him in a skiing accident seven years earlier.

Gwyneth Paltrow was finally cleared of this trial which lasted 10 days and which was followed by more than 30 million people on YouTube and several other social media platforms.
