Guylaine Tanguay and Ghys Mongeon stand out at the Gala Country

For the first time in its history, the Gala Country was held on the sidelines of the Saint-Tite Western Festival on Wednesday. In all, 14 prizes were awarded during the ninth edition of this evening hosted, this year by Richard Turcotte.

Rewarded in the “Album of reinterpretations” and “Television show” categories, Guylaine Tanguay is one of the two artists who have distinguished themselves the most.

Ghys Mongeon also walked away with two Willie Awards thanks to his most recent album Drive away boredom.

Other winners include Matt Lang, Lendemain deveille, Nathalie Lord, Laurie Leblanc and Wild Ouest.

The Western Festival of Saint-Tite continues until September 18.
