(Montreal) A new shooting broke out in Montreal, this time at the very beginning of the night, Wednesday, in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district, in the west of the city.
At the end of the night, the Police Department of the City of Montreal (SPVM) did not report a victim. No suspects had been arrested and the police were still looking for witnesses.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m., police were notified by calls to the 911 emergency telephone exchange that gunshots had just been heard in a residential and commercial area at the intersection of Walkley Avenue and Boulevard de Maisonneuve West.
Upon their arrival on the scene, SPVM police officers observed the impacts of firearm projectiles on the two dwellings of a duplex on Walkley Avenue. They then found shell casings on the ground nearby.
The police immediately erected a security perimeter.
Investigators, forensic identification technicians and members of the SPVM canine squad were called upon to inspect the premises in order to resolve this case.
